Again, Three-Storey building collapses in Lagos

Tragedy has occurred again amid heavy rainfall, as three storey building on Sonuga Street, Palm Avenue, Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, suddenly collapsed on Friday.

The incident, according to an eyewitness, happened at 12 noon amid rainstorm.

It could not be ascertained as of press time if there are occupants trapped in the rubble

However men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, and Lagos State Rescue and Fire Service, have arrived the scene on rescue victims mission.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor who confirmed the incidence, said personnel of the Agency have been deployed to the area.

He said an adult and a child have been rescued from the rubbles.

“A three-storey building has collapsed at Oye Sonuga Street, opposite Oye Roundabout, Isolo road, Mushin. An adult and a child have been rescued. The search and rescue operation is ongoing”, Okunbo said
