Ibrahim Hassan (Click to see More) Dankwambo, a former governor of Gombe State, has proclaimed his (Click to see More) support for Atiku Abubakar, the PDP's nominee for president.
Dankwambo (Click to see More) is a well-known political ally and ardent supporter of Nyesom Wike, (Click to see More) the governor of Rivers State, who ran for president of the PDP but lost to Atiku.
It is no longer a secret that the PDP is in a critical crisis as a result of Wike and 4 other Governors' unwillingness to support Atiku. They have pushed for Iyorchia Ayu, the Party's national chairman, to be ousted.
Twenty buses were given to Atiku's campaign by Dankwambo. When Atiku visited Gombe for the PDP presidential campaign rally in the state, he made the announcement about the donation.
Many claim that Dankwambo's donation of the automobiles is proof that he has supported the Atiku campaign.
Dankwambo made a commitment to help Atiku win the 2023 presidential election while addressing at the Gombe Township Stadium, the PDP's campaign headquarters.
